TWICE トゥワイス | Y! Mobile (TV Commercial)
The ad is about student discount on Y! Mobile and one of the techniques was to use a school setting since it comprises of young people with mobile phones who would want to save their money on data by using the discounts hence more turnover for Y! Mobile. Using TWICE too was a great technique because the J-pop, K-pop the dance group is popular among young people, and this would appeal to the fans to subscribe for the discount.
The Colour- transitioned from dull colors at the start of the ad to bright colors that are
appealing to young people, easy to identify, and can be associated with exciting and interesting moods.
The laboratory experiment- I think it calls the attention of the viewer to try out
the discount, to experiment with the discount and they will have interesting
results.
The production of the ad is by Y! Mobile, a Japanese mobile operator, and Asymmetric digital
subscriber line (ADSL) service provider. It is a subsidiary of SoftBank
Group Corporation, a Multinational Conglomerate in Japan. It has the money to
invest in advertising, to hire popular dance group TWICE, to persuade mobile
users.
There is the idea that the discount can also be used by the older person as seen with the presence of an older person among the youngsters.
